CHARMING / RELATABLE / HELLA GROOVY

A SHOW ABOUT NAVIGATING ONE’S 20’S

AIMED TOWARDS YOUNG ADULT AUDIENCES

ACT 1

Meet the chaRacteRS

Up until her 15th Birthday Frog was an only child. Her comfortable and spoiled life changed when her mom birthed a pack of 6 tadpoles. Annoyed by her loud siblings and absent parents, Frog couldn’t practice singing in peace any longer and ventured out to  live on her own as soon as she turned18.

Frog has to learn what it means tobe truly independent. Sometimes she misses the times where she received all the attention she wanted. This bias doesn’t help her on her venture into adulthood, growing into a young vibrant woman. A way for frog to cope with these in-securities was to focus on her passion for singing and to cling to her dream of becoming famous. This way she wouldn’t need to grow up and ultimately get all the attention and praise she desires.

There’s justone thing...

FROG

Frog has terrible stage fright and singing beautifully in her own four walls does not equate to actually establishing herself as a professional singer.

Over the course of the show, Frog will have to overcome many stepping stones, deal with her first major failures and grounding experiences of her 20s. Starting with the pilot episode, where Frog will need to fight her stage fright headon. Yet, with every episode, in-stead of losing hope or retracting into her shell, Frog learns about life, empowerment and independence.

MONKEY

Monkey is the epitome of a cool guy. Everyone always tells him he looks like the actor Ryan Goatling. That doesn’t bother Monkey though, as in fact he’s way cooler and more attractive. Monkey can get anyone and anything he wants

at a blink.... or so the 22-year-old thinks. But in fact, though he doesn’t admit it to himself, Monkey’s terribly lonely. Somehow he manages to push every person in his life away. So, beter not try to get close at all in the first place.

Monkey moved from the UK to Germany when he was 10 years old. Quickly the extrovert made friends and established himself in the professional

network of the Berliner Music scene.

Musical talent was written on Monkey’s forehead from the moment he was born and It didn’t take long until Monkey was confronted with childhood fame.

Surrounded by intrusive fans and way too many work offers for a kid, Monkey’s parents decided it would be best for them to move to Germany, to start over and allow Monkey to have a regular childhood. Monkey holds this against his parents to this day... if it weren’t for them he would have been a musical icon by now.

Today Monkey studies guitar at the AUotA. There, the teen star just bathes in popularity, receiving scholarship after scholarship. Despite his cocky

attitude, it’s not just for show. That guy can play, and how!

GIRAFFE

Untitled_Artwork 6.png

Giraffe is 23 and new in the real estate realm as a young professional. He never really planned to pursue music professionally and always played bass for fun. Though there were many instances where the hobbyist could have gone pro, he declined every offer. Maybe because Giraffe has another goal, and different priorities than his musical friends.

Giraffe wants to have a big family, and become a young father and he’s slowly working towards a stable life, hopefully finding a stable partnership on the way. Giraffe likes things a certain way and doesn’t deal well with changes in his routine or environment. He doesn’t realise yet that this could

potentially clash with the chaotic nature of a family.

SEAHORSE
SIMONE

Seahorse Simone the 3rd is the granddaughter of Seahorse Simone the 1st. She’s an absolute jazz icon, just like her mother and her mother’s mother. But what is it like to be the daughter of an icon, and why didn’t Seahorse Simone decide to go under another artist name and pursue her music as an individual? When this question comes up during interviews Seahorse Simone the 3rd, will always change subject.

Today the singing-icon is the director of AUotA, with a keen eye for talentand the world’s broad music scene. Retired from touring, Seahorse Simone still releases music but not as often anymore, as managing the uni-

versity’s affairs takes up most of her time.
